I understand that my recent posts have been very anti Israel, and I do not shy away from this at all. I wish to stress as always, anti Israel does NOT mean anti Jewish.
This morning I was reminded of an interview I watched last year about an incident that took place on June 8, 1967, and every American, Israeli and Israeli supporter should watch. This being an interview with former US Navy crewman, Phillip F Tourney, who survived the deliberate Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, and the subsequent cover up by Israel and the USA–from the junior of official all the way up to LBJ (pardon the sickening pun).
In a strange twist of fate (maybe), Israel’s recent attack on Iran came just over 58 years after the murders of 33 serviceman (8 officers, 26 enlisted personnel) and one civilian. 171 were wounded, including Phillip Tourney (nearly 70% of the crew). The USS Liberty was supposed to sink and the story behind this incident is horrendous on every level. It should anger every US citizen–even today.
The reason why I post the interview video first, and the story behind the attack on the USA, second, is because I feel the order works better to inform. The key here, is this is what Israel is about. Not Jewish people, not the brainwashed Israeli population, but the leadership–both current and historical–as well as those who helped set up and protect Israel–both current and historical.
I hope people watch these videos and share them around. I was unaware until last year about the Liberty, and with so many current human rights violations and war crimes, I’d completely forgotten.
I’ll end with these two thoughts.
